Custom Taxonomy Order adds inline drag-and-drop reordering to any taxonomy list screen in WordPress — categories, tags, WooCommerce product categories, or any custom taxonomy. The custom order is automatically applied on the front end via the terms_clauses filter.
How it works
1. Drag — Go to any taxonomy list screen (e.g. Posts > Categories) and use the drag handle to reorder terms.
2. Save — The new order saves automatically via AJAX. No save button needed.

Yes. Any taxonomy that uses the standard edit-tags.php screen will get drag-and-drop ordering automatically.
Does the custom order show on the front end?
Yes. The plugin filters get_terms() via the terms_clauses hook, so any theme or plugin that uses get_terms() will respect your custom order.
What happens if I haven't reordered a taxonomy yet?
Terms without a custom order fall back to alphabetical sorting. The plugin only affects taxonomies you’ve explicitly reordered.
